Being positive and inspiring are important to me, and I know I have a great team that gives their best and although our days can be jam packed, they are never dull!
Stephen Burnet
Business Development Lead
My name is Steve Burnet and I have worked at BCTG for the past 11 years. My role primarily requires me to introduce new business to our range of Professional Management and Business Apprenticeships. I also support in other areas of the business such as offering a wider range of funded courses, to ensure that our customers get the right training when they need it. I am (by far) the loudest person in the office.
Lyn Whitehouse
Support Officer for Business Development/Admin
I'm Lyn and I have been with BCTG for 25 years. I support the team daily in most of their jobs which includes helping to organise events, booking interviews and sales enquiries. I am passionate about my work because I love what I do and the team I work with. We work hard and have many laughs, which always helps with motivation. Being on reception, it’s usually me you will see or speak to first and I'm always happy to help.
Bev Morris
Business Development
My name is Bev, I’m a BDO for The Apprenticeship Works and have been here for just over 4 years.
I’m normally the first point of contact for employers and young people looking for an apprenticeship. It’s important I match the right person to the right role. One part of my role that is great, is when an apprentice progresses into permanent employment. I have a great rapport with everyone and encourage the development of all learners.
Mike Smith
Business Development
My name is Mike Smith and I'm a Business Development Officer for The Apprenticeship Works, as a partner of the BCTG Group. My main area of responsibility is to promote our offer to young people, with reference to Apprenticeships, Traineeships and other options across many occupational sectors.
If the vocational pathway is of interest to you, please get in touch as I am your man!
Josh Thiara

My Motto is ‘You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take’.
Rachel Dawson

Most of my role involves supporting our amazing team, by supplying them with all the material they need to share information with people just like you, so that you can make informed decisions. got a question?
“The Apprenticeship Works handle all the advertising, CV vetting and first interview for me. It means that the right people are sent to us. When we take someone on The Apprenticeship Works is there to provide on-going support, dealing with wages, holidays and any personal issues that can arise, after all we are working with young people who can find the transition from school to employment daunting.”
Carwood’s general manager Anthony James
Over the period we have worked with the apprenticeship works we have successfully trained Apprentices in Business Admin and Customer Services. After successful completion of the qualifications/training the Apprentices have gained permanent full-time employment with us. I cannot recommend Apprenticeship works enough to give young people the opportunity to learn in a stable working environment with a view to future employment.
The staff at Apprenticeship works are approachable and willing to offer any support requested. Therefore we have enjoyed a happy business relationship for the last 7 years.
Shepherds Solicitors
“Working with The Apprenticeship Works is a collaboration,” says Anthony, “we are both here to make sure the right young people get the right apprenticeship for the benefit of the business and for the right start in their working life. It is about managing the transition from school to employment with training bolted on.”
