Training Expert in Jobs Boost

A partnership project has helped to recruit and train a group of new home care workers.

Training Experts at BCTG have recruited more than 30 new learners to provide personal and supporting care to hundreds of vulnerable people in the
Black Country.

The project is the result of a new partnership that BCTG has developed with LJM Homecare, based in Brierley Hill.

Sam Little, a registered manager at LJM, said there had been a huge backlog in recruitment during the Covid pandemic due to both funding delays and the fact that observation sessions were difficult.

She said: "providing quality home care is a growing need and BCTG have provided us with a lot of support to recruit the numbers we now need."
